CATCH Seminar - Learn How to Identify All the Idiots on Atlanta Roads
If you die before you’re 20, it will probably be in a car. Parents and teens don’t look at driving the same way. To a teen, the “prized possession” is the car. To the parents, it’s the teen. “But I’m already a good driver!” they all say. Driver’s ed is the easy part. The hard part is knowing what to do when everything goes horribly wrong in front of you. That’s what determines whether you live or die. And since driver’s ed can’t cover that, you have to get that training somewhere else. Nationally renowned professional driving instructor Jeffrey “Homer” Stillwell teaches the Accident Avoidance Workshops at Atlanta and Bristol Motor Speedways. At Dr. Miletto’s invitation, Stillwell will be bringing his workshops right to our school this March! Come learn more about this award-winning, FUN program that will completely and forever change the way you look at driving! Students AND parents are invited to attend the CATCH (Conversation at Centennial High School) Seminar on Friday, January 27 in the auditorium during seminar time. You can RSVP by emailing Sherri Harris at sherriharris@thestaffzone.com. Attendance at the seminar will be reported to teachers and the attendance office to assure you are not marked absent. Questions can be directed to Sherri Harris via email or at (678) 795-1359.

CATCH Seminar - You Are What You Eat!
Ever wonder what food does for the body? What happens when you eat a Snickers bar versus an apple? When it comes to watching what you eat, most people think of the word “diet” and weight loss. But what you eat affects your body in many other ways having nothing to do with your weight. Feeling unusually tired one day? Face not as clear as you’d like it to be? Students can attend the CATCH (Conversation at Centennial High School) seminar led by Rick Mayo, owner of North Point Fitness, on Wednesday, November 16 in the auditorium during seminar to take a look at the foods they eat and how those foods might be affecting them. Students can sign up in the Assistant Principals' office to attend in place of their seminar that day. Questions can be directed to Sherri Harris via email or at (678) 795-1359.

Potential Changes in Afternoon Bus Delivery Times
Beginning Tuesday, September 6, you may notice some changes in the time your child arrives home in the afternoon. It’s normal for bus delivery times to vary during the first few weeks as our school is getting more settled in its afternoon dismissal routine. This means that your student might get home a little bit later beginning next week. In most situations, this change will be so minor it won’t be noticed. However, we want you to be aware in case you are used to your child arriving home at a specific time. Please note that this affects afternoon bus schedules only. As a reminder, school hours and the expected school bus stop times are posted on the school system’s website.
